Today I had my weekly weigh-in. I have been feeling a bit down about the whole WW thing because I can't seem to break the 280's, which I need to do so very bad. This past week, I watched what I ate, with the one exception of a splurge to Iceburg, which STILL kept me withing my weekly points! I was happy about this weekend because I didn't blow it. I watched what I ate and managed to throw in some exercise on top of it all. I didn't think that I was going to come away with much loss, if any at all, but when I stepped on the scale tonight I was pleasantly surprised. 8.8 lbs dropped. I couldn't believe it, neither could the ladies at WW. They were shocked. I was expecting 3 or 4, but 8? It was crazy. It makes me stop and think about what I am going to consume this week. I don't want to mess up what I have done, in fact I want to keep battling through to get to where I want to be.
Nichole and I made a bet, when I get down to 220, I can buy a pair of thick, chunky boots and a pair of boot cut jeans. I'm not talking cheap boots, but the kind of boots that are made to whoop some major butt. HA, but really, I have wanted them for so long, but I don't want to get them now. I want something to work for, and I am going to work for this. The bigger goal here it to get to a healthy weight range and be able to maintain my weight and be a healthy dad and husband, but it is still good to have smaller goals along the way that make me feel good and want to keep going!!
How is P90X going you ask? Well I haven't been so successful with it. I started two weeks ago, but then stopped because I just never knew that not only was it 90 days, but it is seriously a 90 minute workout everyday! That is a lot of time that I am just working out. So I have defaulted back to my cardio on the treadmill and doing weights, but hopefully when the time comes, I will hit the P90X again soon.
