My New Challenge

Since the beginning of the new year my wife has been hounding me to do something for my weight. Mainly it has been to start doing the HCG diet. Which after looking into, isn't really a diet at all, but a shot. And an expensive one at that. For like six shots it's around 200 bucks. So then she started talking to me about doing Weight Watchers. I have never been opposed to doing Weight Watchers and to be all honest I have done it before. But like all things I just stopped. So I started looking into it, more like dragging my feet at the idea. The problem with me is that I love to eat. I see things on tv and want to try them, or I make crap up in the kitchen. So giving up my food was the last thing that I wanted to do. I was going to my Personal Trainer, but when your not eating right, what's the point?? So one night I decided that it was time. It was right after the Super Bowl. I couldn't breath, I was having a hard time bending over to tie my shoes, and my pants were starting to not be so comfortable. The very next day I went straight from work to a local meeting and signed up. Now I'm not here to promote Weight Watchers.....yet. I want to make sure that I am going to stick with it, but in the past week I lost 2 lbs. That might not seem like a lot, and believe me that is a drop in the bucket compared to the amount that I NEED to lose. But it is a start. Week 3 here I come.

Jeremy: Way to go on your new adventure. One thing you need to remember. Do it for yourself. You can have everyone hounding you and telling you what to do. You have to do it for you. That's one thing I learned. Everyone has an opinion and everyone thinks they are right.
