Last week I wasn't able to hit the second week of running. I started the first day, but because of my running the week before I had a sore ankle and it just didn't happen. I am, this week, however, starting week two. Normally I should start on Monday, but this week we closed on our new home so I wasn't able to take my normal exercise/lunch time. Yesterday I started my week two regimen which is run two minutes and then walk one minute and I repeat that 10 times. I will probably have to have two weeks of this schedule. My 8 week walk/run program is slowly turning into a 10 week program, which I don't mind. I really want to pull through this whole program. So it might just turn into a 16 week program, which is fine. My body seems to need an extra week of a new week. Being a bit more overweight than the average beginning runner, I can't take it too fast or else I will sustain some sort of injury.
This week's weigh-in was great. I worked really hard last week. The weekend was a little bumpy, but I had done enough work the week before to help me take home a 2.4lb loss. This week I am trying to keep up with that weight loss. I have tinkered with my numbers for this week, dropping down my everyday points a couple of notches. Along with my workouts, I hope that I will be able to take home another 2.4lbs, or even some loss. This weekend may be a bit hard to stick to my diet because we are now moving into our new home on Saturday, but I am going to try very hard. We'll see what happens on Monday.

Delayed Post
I realize it's been a couple of weeks since my last post. Not that I have been so busy that I haven't posted, but just haven't taken the time to do it. I have still been doing Weight Watchers, and feel like I am doing pretty good. It has helped me to see the difference in my choices now. Friday treats at work used to be, grab a candy of some sort and then head back to work. I have realized in the past couple of months that I don't go to the table that has the candy unless it has baked lays potato chips; I just hit the fruit table and head back to my desk. I just don't want to afford the points that the calories would cost me. I still struggle on the weekends a bit, but I am trying to make better decisions with the food I choose. My wife might not think I am making any changes, but I am and I feel like I am doing so.
I know that I have said this before, but I am starting a walk/run program. I know I know, I started this a time before, and then P90X, and whatever else is out there, but then I find a way to not stick with it. I am the king of quitting what I start. If anyone out there needs to know how to not stick with something, or want to know how to start something and then not stick with it, I'm your guy! I can give you advice all day long about it. But in all seriousness, I did start it again this week. I made it through week 1. I found the program off www.RunnersWorld.com, I love that site. Though I am not an avid runner YET! I want to be and this program, which is an eight week program will help me train my body to run 30 minutes straight. I was supposed to run Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, but I got in Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. I think that is ok. I am going to move onto week 2. Saturday was a bit rough. I ran outside for the first time in a while. We are staying with my in-laws and they live in a rather hilly area. At one point I had to run down a steep hill, NOT a good idea. By late evening my ankle and hips hurt so bad, I thought that I had seriously fractured my ankle. Needless to say, today it was doing better, and I think by my run tomorrow, it will be doing a lot better. I think I should probably run outside more, but maybe when I have lost a bit more weight. Well I am off. I hope to post on the days that I run so I will hopefully be reporting back by tomorrow.
